2017/Flat Fender Dodge Power Wagon 4 Door

After working closely with Matt at Tisdale Coachworks for parts on the 48 Power Wagon build we got to talking about a new project that Matt was hoping to take on. He asked if I’d buy a donor vehicle for a project, and we sourced a clean title Copart 2017 Dodge Power Wagon as a starting point. Matt’s plan was to build a wider body that fit the late model frame with proportions that matched original and gave true modern amenities and comfort.

The donor was sourced and stripped, and quickly a body came together, stretched 9” wider at the cab to allow for the late model dash and seats to all fit.

The body was initially roughed out using Tisdale newly stamped doors, cab sides, and multiple back panels and roofs to assemble the final product.

The bed was assembled with a custom floor raised to match the frame contours of the 2017, and widened 6” to better align with the cab dimensions.

The nose was stretched 3” to again match proportions and get the front axle where it needed to be.

We went to visit the truck out at Tisdale Coachworks after the cab and nose had been fully bodyworked and 3D scanned for stamping the next batch of these amazing trucks.

Now that the truck is in California, bodywork has started and we’re moving along with getting this truck together.

And of course every HKW Power Wagon gets Mickey Thompsons, these 42×13.5R20s are on custom Fuel Forged wheels.

Lots of people have been involved with this build so far, I post updates to @JordanHettinga on Instagram whenever I get the chance to work on it.
